WORK

TOETT’s is out to redefine the boundaries of traditional theatre by creating immersive and interactive experiences that engage the audience in new and meaningful ways. The group believes that theatre should be a dynamic conversation between creators and the creation, rather than a passive experience. By blurring the lines between performer and spectator, TOETT aims to create a more inclusive and tactile form of theatre that reflects the complexities of contemporary society.

TOETT broke through with the cross-arts project Martyrmuseum, which led to an international debate and the redefinition of the term ‘martyr’ in the Danish dictionary. The performance was played at the S/H theater and later at the Nordwind Festival in Berlin. In the group’s work, they use their technique called Human placeholders to create a sensory and expanded reality for the visitors of their works which has led to the group achieving great success at festivals and among critics. With their distinctive style, the group has positioned itself as one of Northern Europe’s most important new voices in the performing arts. Currently TOETT resides as house artists at Husets Teater trough the progressive artistic plattform Toaster
